| Description | Position Summary: The Preschool Teacher Intern will assist the Lead Preschool Teacher in delivering a high-quality educational experience to preschool-aged children. This position is an excellent opportunity for individuals pursuing a career in early childhood education to gain practical experience and develop essential teaching skills. Key Responsibilities: Classroom Support: Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily lesson plans and educational activities. Provide support during classroom activities, including arts and crafts, storytelling, music, and outdoor play. Child Supervision: Ensure the safety and well-being of children at all times. Supervise children during indoor and outdoor activities, meals, and rest periods. Individualized Attention: Work one-on-one or in small groups with children to provide personalized attention and support, fostering each child's individual learning and development. Behavior Management: Help manage classroom behavior using positive reinforcement and effective behavior management strategies. Parent Communication: Assist in maintaining open and effective communication with parents and caregivers, including daily updates on children's progress and participation. Classroom Maintenance: Help maintain a clean, organized, and stimulating classroom environment. Assist with the preparation and cleanup of activities and materials. Professional Development: Participate in training sessions, staff meetings, and professional development opportunities as required. Qualifications: Education: Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from an early childhood education, child development, or related program. Experience: Prior experience working with young children, preferably in a classroom setting, is a plus. Skills: Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills. Ability to work effectively as part of a team. Attributes: Patient, enthusiastic, creative, and passionate about working with young children. Demonstrates a genuine interest in early childhood education and development. Certifications: CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
